SOME TIPS FOR JOB HUNTING IN 2023

Are you tired of the endless rejection emails??? |
Staying idle and not earning can be so hard and frustrating, the worst part is waking up every day to no response after sending out tons of applications. In my determination to get a job, I have read many Do's and Don'ts of job search and I know them at my fingertip, I have applied to literally over 2000 jobs in the past years and I believe many recruiters by now will be very familiar with my CV and Cover letters😂 but on the positive side, this has also exposed me to learning the antecedents of a genuine job opening.
It is true that 90% of jobs, although advertised are still filled through in-house recommendations, so regardless of the millions of job adverts you see on the internet on a daily, rest assured that many recruiters will still fall back to their in-house recommendations to fill these positions, especially for positions that require specific skills or experience. This may be one of the reasons why applicants don't get responses most of the time. this is not to say that recruiters don't employ through their job advert sources, in fact, many recruiters still do, However, because of the cost of the recruitment process, many recruiters may find in-house recommendations as the cheapest and easiest method of recruitment. when there are no in-house recommendations they fall back to the responses to their advert posted.
I will like to share my experience in job hunting and show you how you can filter through millions of job adverts to know which recruiter is genuinely looking to employ you, and what to do to land your dream job.
Firstly, there are simple indications every job seeker should know to filter through numerous job openings on the internet, I will list some of the prominent ones below;
Be wary of a job posting that offers an unusually high salary or benefits that seem too good to be true, it may be a waste of your time.
Watch out for upfront fees to apply for a job. If a job posting requires an upfront fee, 99% of the time it is a scam.
But the most important secret I discovered in job hunting is that many serious recruiters include a test in their application process. So you must take seriously any job posting that requires applicants in the application process to write a test. It is said 80% of top employers in recent times now use the CCAT to filter through applicants to choose the best.
The Criteria Cognitive Aptitude Test
every job seeker should get a practice pack and start practicing, I recommend the Mastery Guide 2023 on Udemy.com. this practice package comes with 6 modules of CCAT practice questions, with 50 questions each, timed for 15 minutes, it was made to simulate the real thing. this is to help learners master the speed and gain the experience needed to ace the real exam, with a 99.99% success rate recorded and many students already enrolled.
